for PreK the players will play games meant to develop basic skills, including ball skills, dribbling, proper technique and the basic rules of soccer (no hands, stay on the field, don't kick another player, etc.). Each session will contain suitable breaks to best address the attention span limits of the participants. There are no teams for this age group. Instead there are fun group activities.
Players should wear / bring with them:
Soccer cleats (preferred) or sneakers that can get muddy
A WWPSA Uniform, you can reuse uniforms from prior years - either your own or one you trade for. The uniform is made up of jersey (a white and green one), shorts and socks that must cover the shin guards. New uniform kits can be purchased as part of the registration process.
Eyeglass straps (if they wear glasses)
A size 3 soccer ball with you child’s name written on it with a permanent marker
Please remember to:
Treat your child with care, patience and plenty of encouragement.
Keep it fun!
Don’t be overly concerned if your child chooses not to play either before or during a session
Who will be coaching my child?
For Pre-K, we use professional trainers with help from parents.
What do I need to do if my child can’t make it?
Nothing at all - just skip the sessions you can’t attend.
Where can I get more information?
